Our country has a total population of about 83 million people. As an industrialized country, our community is mostly working class. About 21.5% of our population is aged 0-14, with our working class or citizens aged 15-64 making up about 68% of our population. This leaves out the elderly or citizens aged 64+ to about 10.5%.
The crude birth rate of Shalomania is 11.3 and the crude death rate is 6.2. The TFR or total fertility rate of Shalomania is 1.7. The RNI of Shalomania is 0.766 and the doubling time is about 129 years. The net migration rate of Shalomania is -3.460 and the dependency ratio or, working class of our country is about 46.72% of the population. Our average life expectancy is about 80 years old.
As mentioned, Shalomania is very big in manufacturing and industrialization. Therefore, our country has a very high working population as many citizens move to Shalomania for its beautiful landscape while still having many industrial job opportunities. Shalomania also has a very large youth population, and that is due to the access of education for everyone. As soon as kids are finished pursuing their education, there are many opportunities for people to find a well-fit and well-paying job.
Our Demographic Transition Model
Shalomania is transitioning between stage 3 and stage 4 of the demographic transition model. As our death rate is already falling to a lower number, we have not fully transitioned into stage 4 of the model.
Shaomania is a pro-natalist country as we believe that more children will lead to more workers which will overall significantly impact our economy for the better. Shalomania uses pull factors such as beautiful land patterns and lots of working opportunities to attract others into our country. Our economy is strong enough to support everyone living in Shalomania. The Malthusian Theory does not apply to Shalomania because our population is not large enough for our economy to not be able to provide enough food. Shalomania can provide food and other natural resources for everyone living there. Most of our population is from voluntary migration, or people moving into our country based on choice. Migration has a very good effect on our country because most migrants coming into Shalomania seek a better life and better job opportunities, therefore this helps our industrialized economy.
